Having a clean engine room has many benefits. The first is avoiding oily water from being pumped out of the bilge and fines that could be associated with that. The second is that fluid leaks can be detected, loose hose clamps, wires, etc. During our engine room details we have alerted owners to potential problems. The appropriate technicians were called in and the problems fixed before the boat left the dock.

To date, we have found a coolant leak on a generator, valve leak on a water maker, major coolant leak on an engine, stripped screws that supported a reservoir tank, corroded stern thruster motor and a leak from a pressure water system.

Other services include paint touch up on engines, replacement of oil absorbs, and proper removal of oily bilge water in addition to wiping down surfaces and bilges.
